Today is my birthday and in Hobbit tradition I am going to give away a gift. I have a very large haversack/field bag that I have been working on forever, and all it needs now is a strap. It's nothing fancy or uber-kewl authentic, just a big brown bag. I will post a picture of it in a day or two. I am modeling this giveaway after the practices of giveaways that occur on another forum that I am a member of. If you are interested in being in the running for the giveaway, just make a post in this thread that says "I'm in!" I will do a random post number drawing on Friday. I would prefer to give this to a Ranger who is in need of gear, but all are welcome to sign-up.
Oh yes, I will pay shipping within the CONUS.

Here's a couple of pics of the bag, without a strap. It measure's 14 inches by 17 inches, so it's pretty big for a haversack. I started handsewing it, so there is a pretty fair amount or hand work but I got lazy and finished it on a machine. I think that it will be a good started bag for someone who doesn't have anything. It will have a strap when the winner gets it.
