My ranger armory

A central place to talk about weapons and armour, as it relates to your kit. This is where you show it of or talk about making it. Discussing the relative merits of types of weapons goes in the WMA section.

My ranger armory

Post by Shadowhawk »

First a better picture of my scouting bow, then my war sword, and a better picture of Rhiwiel. Swords are sligtly modded windlas models and the bow is a samick. More to come later on

Nice ! You get a much better idea of the swords dimensions with these pictures. Nice job on the customizations.

And here's yet another sword. I think this one is better suited for a ranger, particularly one from the northern waste but it doesnt really fit my fighting style as well as Rhiwiel or even my war sword.

Look forward to seeing your whole kit Ranger.

My newest sword. Windlass Oakeshott Type XIV. Sharpened it, removed the leather on the handle, burned some runes on it then wrapped it in green rope. Then removed the dye on the sheath, burnt some bindrunes and vaguely vine-like shapes on it, then dyed it green. Oh yeah I also glued some snowflake earrings in the pommel. And thus I present you with... Ethuilos. Gonna be carrying this mostly from now on, a lot easier to walk around with it in the woods than most of my other swords.

Made some changes to Ethuilos, so I thought I'd post a new picture. The handle is now brown leather string wrap, and I engraved "ethuilos" on runes in the blade along with an eight pointed "star". Also in the picture is a small seax I made the other day and practiced using a dremel on. The designs on the scabbard also show a little better I think.
