Those pictures are awesome!
Great to see such a group getting up to some archery! Hopefully the common folk were grateful to see Rangers still protecting their borders from dinosaurs, haha!

...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.

That looks like a beautiful forest
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.

Made it to the last weekend of my local faire a few weeks ago where I got to hold my namesake.

Re: MERF Random Adventure Pictures
Time to finally share the Part 1 of the video of my first Ranger adventure. This will be the first video of my new series, Ranger Rations, presented by The Gluttonous Geek. I am joining my wife's channel with my own cooking adventures, far outside the kitchen.
A while ago, I had an idea to explore the food and equipment of a Fantasy RPG adventurer to feature on my wife's geeky food blog, www.thegluttonousgeek.com . Never wanting to do things by halves, I couldn't simply try out recipes over a backyard fire pit. I decided to create a Ranger persona and head out into the woods to bring fantasy to reality.
My idea started as a classic D&D Ranger, but in researching for this adventure, I discovered the Middle Earth Ranger Society. I am now very proud to be a part of this group that has been such an amazing source of inspiration and support.
This first adventure was rough for me and definitely a learning experience. I'll post Part 2 next week, and more to come as I adventure more into the wilds.
Thank you.

Wow, I remember last fall when you posted the writeup of your first outing -- I had no idea you were documenting the whole thing (Les Stroud-style, to boot!) at the same time! Big props for taking us along and letting us see your learning experience!
