I've enjoyed their music for years. Some is a bit stiff, but it's got that 'authentic' Middle-Earth sound.

I love it! It sounds great and I enjoy the fact that Christopher Lee is so envolved with it's production, even to the point of singing some of the numbers.
However I do have a bit of a problem with him saying that it is the first time this has been done and that they were the only ones to have done it. The song cycle that Swan wrote and was not only sanctioned by the Tolkien Estate, but by encouraged by and colaborated with Tolkien himself.
I suppose they are making a distinction due to the fact that they have taken "All" of the songs and poetry and put them in a collected work.
Regardless, it is a very nice collection and feels very authentic in the way it is written and performed.

Somewhere my dad ha a Lord of the Rings's LP from the late 60's or early 70's,,before any movies, all of the songs are based on various chapters of the books.

Very well done and good to see Christopher Lee at work with them. Thanks for the post.
