Maeglamiel "sharp-tongued maiden" because she's the only girl a Ranger needs in the Wild :P

Ok, I suck at Sindarin, so please tell me if I mashed this horribly. Also, I got the words off of a wordlist so I have no idea if they actually mean what they say they mean.

Three good offerings! Great job guys! By the way, any name not used on the knife could be a good name for a future creation.

Ok, I'll jump in. "Dagoriel" is my try, for "battle maiden", accent on the "gor". And if she's used in battle, in more ways than one!

OK, here's my one, which Ernildhir kindly translated for me: 'Ellethnin', meaning She-Elf Tear (maybe also Elf maiden's Tear?). Lol i don't know why i called it that, I just thought it sounded cool.

Young Rangerling,

Those are fine names indeed, but in choosing a name you must know the meaning, and our smith is making a blade that is new and as yet, unnamed. While I am sure it would be an honor for a blade to carry the name of a long treasured and storied weapon of the Elder Days, I think it is the will and intent of our smith to make a blade and name that will have its own destiny. If you list the name for the blade, please tell us the meaning, and why you think it would fit.

Figured I may as well give it a go. I like the name Elennumen which is Quenya for Star of the West.

I THINK, that is, haha.
When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Winter is almost upon us, it will be long and hard, but the North remembers and the wolves will come again.

Despite the fact that most of those blades already exist, or are mix & match words of names Tolkien already created

Or access to a Tolkien Encyclopedia with a list of weapons. . .
Many evil things there are that your strong walls and bright swords do not stay.
You know little of the lands beyond your bounds.
Peace and freedom, do you say?
The North would have known them little but for us.
