Missed one!
Orcs patrol the eastern shore...
Conveniently, one of my new favorite base camp locations happens to be on the eastern shore of this particular cove on the lake which Lori and I scouted a few weeks back. It's a gorgeous area.

Total inspiration! Now if only the climate would get its life in order and stop being bipolar where I am!

Re: Ranger Adventures
I can't say I took this photo, unfortunately, but I HAD to post it. I just actually applied to a Park Ranger opening at the recreation area where this cave, "Natural Bridges", is found, at New Melones Reservoir.
Gollums Cave entrance, anyone? Window to the west, much?

Beautiful! I hope you get the job!

Good luck!
I've long been trying to gain employment with old NPS, but thus far with little success.
If you can get the job, however, there is no line of work more rewarding than watching over the sacred lands.

Resting atop the mountain looking down on Harpers Ferry, where last summer I served as a guardian of that sacred ground.

Re: Ranger Adventures
Thank you!
It was one heck of a climb to get to that point, but the view was worth a hundred such quests!
From that mountaintop I could look out over miles of beautiful green lands, and the whispers of the honored dead seemed to speak on the wind.
