Re: Dunedain Star Brooch...
That site is mostly an RPG reference based on the MERP books, although the heraldic designs (at least the top ones) are actual drawings done by the Professor himself. The lower designs may be drawings done by the website creators, but they are good interpretations. I'm beginning to lean toward the e...

Re: LOTRO Ranger Gathering
I'm liking my Warden, still very low level, but its my 2nd favorite class in the game after Hunter. I'm now at the point where I can learn the healing gambits, but he's had a much higher survival rate in a multi-mob fight that my hunter did at the same level.

Re: Elves Rangers and Ninja
Hmm, So the Togakure and Iga clans didn't exist? The knowledge that An-shu Hayes brought back from Japan would contradict that. 33 generations of grand-masters is a long history to ignore. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really much of a fan of his anymore since he went mainstream, I'm just going from w...

Re: any thoughts
I have an Atrim/Valiant Practical Arming sword that I purchased from SBG a few years ago. It's a very nice blade, well-balanced and very sharp. I need to make a good sword belt to actually carry it as the one that came with wasn't all that sturdy. I don't see myself buying another blade after this, ...

Re: Elves Rangers and Ninja
I don't see the Rangers as assassins either Mirimaran, but as guerrilla fighters, information gatherers and protectors of their families and their way of life. In that they do compare with ninja's. The history I know of the old ninja family's was that they were mostly persecuted by the government an...

Re: Elves Rangers and Ninja
Interesting article and website, I will have to explore it further. I studied with Stephen K. Hayes back in the mid 80's when I lived in Dayton, OH before he went mainstream with his Quest schools, he's mentioned on this authors website. Alot of my 'sneaky ranger' skills come from that training and ...

Re: LOTRO Ranger Gathering
I have a level 65 Elf Hunter and a few other characters on another server, can't remember which one now. The elf has some nice legendary weapons, at least they were a year ago. . . Yes, alot of what put me off of continuing playing was having to go back into Moria after the Lothlorien expansion. Tha...

Re: LOTRO Ranger Gathering
Greetings Rangers, I'm back from the Wild-lands again, I've had a LOTRO since 2008 and had several characters on a different server, but I have not played since before it went to the free format. But I have created a new Hunter character on Arkenstone named "Phaolan". I've gotten tired of ...
