Re: Storing gear and kit

Most of mine is in a footlocker. The type you take to college. It has a top tray where all the small goods go (tinder kit, fishing kit and some personal gear). The main compartment holds my clothes and pair of awful looking but comfortable boots and a bedroll, haversack and some eating/cooking utens...

Re: Defending the Hill

So far everyone has a slightly different idea of what the village has. Based on my thoughts, I don't believe there would be that many horses available to do a lot of skirmish attacks or even a lot of message runs. I don't think desertions would be a major issue if we're dealing with orcs outside the...

Re: Ranger Island

Let's see we'll need a square rigged tall ship to get there, figure another $1 million. Then buildings in the Dunadain village, a forge, archery butts, an orc cave/village for us to attack, goats and pigs (to be released on the island) and chickens, a few dairy cows and a couple of horses (to be pen...

I like the look of Valaria's sword better but it's still pretty heavy.

Re: Scenario: Winter, 3 things.

First a heavy hooded cloak or winter coat with a hood. Second would have to be a fire kit. Third something to carry water in, that can be carried under the cloak or coat to melt the snow. I'd try to hunker down till daylight after making a fire and then start walking before dawn. I'd gather deadfall...

That is a very nice baldric, the double strap to hold the scabbard will keep it from swinging around.

Did you make it ?
