Re: On leatherworking?

I live on a second floor apartment and My problem is I can't hammer any leather working tools or table without the sound vibrating the ceiling of the people below me. Anybody have a reliable solution for that?

The Broach with such a long pont past the end looks like it might stab you if you fell down. Does anybody else use long ones like that and have you had any issues stabbing yourself falling down or such in regular movements?

Well done. I enjoy the fact that it's real and you look like you're having a good time.

Personally, I was thinking old world style. To step into a pub and feel like you stepped into the "Prancing Pony" or similar.

Re: How do you choose to wear your arrows?

We've discussed Shad before so I won't reiterate my problems with him but I will say that Greg has it right. He's got a distinct lack of real-world experience and a simple hanger for your bow like that is begging for trouble on the trail. Best to just carry it. I'm not sure I completely agree, alth...

Re: How do you choose to wear your arrows?

I don't think we can just address the arrows without also talking about the bow. I came across the following video where this individual created a very good way to carry and quick draw his bow.

Re: Clothes vs Costume

I think what it comes down to your personal comfort and ease in wearing your kit. It's all in the attitude. For example, I do a bit of Indiana Jones cosplay on the side and it's a fairly regular topic in that realm about wearing the costume in your daily life. Some folks get nervous about being out...

Re: Thoughts on folding spoons?

In my reckoning, the more moving parts an item has, the greater the chance it will break down when you need it the most. Although I can't imagine what kind of rough treatment one would have to give a folding spoon (that should be wrapped up and tucked away safe and sound while on the trail) to brea...

Re: Clothes vs Costume

It's a difficult topic to discuss because it has so many branches off of the main path. When I am at a living history event and I'm wearing clothing that I have laboured all day in, foraged, climbed mountains and slept in minus temperatures that is clothing, The guy who pulls his cotton blend tunic...

Re: Clothes vs Costume

I like the way you think, and if you have other kits you should make a video on your channel showing them all. I love the Caribbean, I use to go there all the time. And would like to see your Steampunk take on things too. My normal street clothes tend to be a little steampunk or a touch of goth som...

Re: Clothes vs Costume

That's pretty much how I use-to think of it, but when you think a little deeper the go to rule of "it keeps me warm/dry" falls down a bit because that depends on where/when the clothes/costume is meant to be worn. I have a pirate costume that really is made for a Caribbean climate, does i...
