Re: Modern Camo Hunting Cloak
I like your use of old technology in the modern day; it's something I do all the time, although not really for specific functions. In my case, I know that in the great depression children often wore potato and flour sacks for clothes and had no soks because it all wore out and they had nothing else...

Re: A possibly needless question about Orcs
I suppose being 'nice' is seen as weakness in Orc culture, and weaklings are to be despised, victimised and obliterated. It all comes down to Nature verses Nurture, are Orcs taught "at their mother's knee" to be amoral sadists, bullies and ultra-violent psychopaths or are they spawned that...

Re: Leather Roman pack from the Comacchio Shipwreck
Thats not that far away from an 'Envelope' knapsack, those are a squared off piece of leather (or cheap canvas if you're British!) with straps and a couple of big pockets to help keep it all organised (and make them look all military and uniform).

Re: Traveling Dwarven persona and pack ideas
British WWII webbing was made from hemp canvas. I have the '44 pattern pack that my Dad bought surplus during his Royal Navy service, so that would of been after '53. He used it as luggage and later for tools, we also used it as a tool bag for most of my youth.... So it had a hard life for forty odd...

Re: Traveling Dwarven persona and pack ideas
May I suggest pine, ash, larch, chestnut, linden, alder or walnut as lighter woods then oak.
I'm assuming you want to carry your pack rather then curse it.
Other then that I'll await your vision of a pack...... If only to steal the best parts for my own![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Dúnedain Settlements OUTSIDE the Angle?
I've always assumed that the Dunedain were basically two interdependent groups, I think of them as Steaders and Wanderers. Steaders are those who live in small settlements or semi-fortified homesteads scattered over the Angle and other areas that all commonly patrolled. They offer respite and resupp...

Re: Leather Wrap Gaunlets.
Good threads are like Rangers, they wander all over the place but do get back to where they belong. I think I'll forego the gauntlet knife. Definitely more rogue/assassin and not what I'm going for. Perhaps a small boot knife to give me an option off the belt. At what point do you carry too many kni...

Re: Dwarven Totem Animals/Nature
My vote is for Raven or crows... as a mountain dweller, crows alert you of danger, incoming people ect. All the wild boars do is wreck shit, muck up the watering holes and cause general mayhem. Ok, I'm confused. You say your vote is for raven or crows, but then you give such a compelling argument F...

Can we make Eofor an honorary Dwarf??
Boar as a totem is still good though...... But I do have a personal bias towards Corvids
