Yeah, the provinces seem to supply and train their own forces. Only Minas Tirith and Dol Amroth seem to be able to employ proffesional soldiers. And even then a majority of them seem to be levys and recruits.

On the topic of oiled silks, i want to know if it can be dyed? In that case, oiled green spider-silk might be a good material for what the Elves of Mirkwood use for their Layered leaf clothes.

Elven Parenting?

I find it really interesting, using stories to teach Kids. It seems quite Elven, instead of using anger or hard words, they use storytelling and stories.

Breeches and hosen/socks seem quite universal in the north. Anyone have examples of breech-like wear that look elven.

Oh yes, it is very much made for camoflage and forest-wear.

I think it's just wool sewn onto a normal wool or linen tunic.
