Re: Rangers of the North, and South

I think too that our group is interpreting how the Fourth Age might have been. There's lots to consider - not only the clothing but the politics as well. Stormraven and I were discussing the possible politics of supply the other day. Would the Rangers have gotten their leather packs from villagers i...

This looks like a good set up for us women too! Especially that you can pull the flap back that far.

Re: Rangers of the North, and South

Thank you Gondian. One thing I want to say as to "authenticity". I'm female and in Tolkien's works, females are always sort of the idyllic sorcerer - queens / goddess types ( unless we look to Shelob and some of the Sackville-Bagginses). As a woman Ranger, I may be an oddity in Tolkien's w...

Re: Rangers of the North, and South

I agree and think everyone here is right. As an Ithilien Ranger, I like the idea of being organized. I think of the unit as a team accomplishing a central purpose. Re: MEDICAL KITS

Thanks Elleth for pointing this out and thanks Rik for posting. I like your ideas. I think I may stick with modern tools but in a historical bag. I may make a period one up for prop candy. Thanks and I'll refer back to these posts periodically.

Re: Hello!

Hail Crow! Good to have my sister Ranger here on the forum! I'm trying to glean information for my medical kit. You might want to visit the martial arts page since weapons and tactics is your specialty.

Medical kits

Sorry guys I haven't been here really since first registering. Working on my kit. I am now the medic within our group The Rangers of the White Tree and would like some ideas on putting my medical kit together. I'm a former EMT in Los Angeles County so I've seen a lot and am more used to modern medic...
