Re: Topo Maps

I agree, finding good maps are hard. A good place for topo maps are mytopo.com and then do a screen shot. Re: Teaching 'old dogs' new tricks

Thank God for friends. Most people think the Rangering stuff i do is weird so I refer to it as primitive camping to my co-workers. However, My good buddy is always willing to go Rangering, We are hoping to go on a trek in 2 weeks time.

Re: Hello everyone

Willrett, It's nice to have you back. Life always seems to get in the way, which is why you have to make time for the things you love. If you need any help or ideas with your kit let us know. Otherwise once your kit is set up I would love to see some pictures. May the forests that you tread be many.

Re: The Hunt begins...soon

What is your set up when you hunt? I want to do a weekend hunt trip with my bow and I'm trying to figure out the best set up for my bedroll and back-quiver...and also a way to carry the bow when its not in use. Any suggestions or tips?

Best of luck and enjoy the hunt. A detail story of your trip may be in order when you get back. I'd like to hear all about it.

Re: Dunedain Lembas Bread Experiment

I made some bread for camping. I used 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of walnuts that i ground with a coffee grinder, 1/4 cub brown sugar, and vanilla extract with just a little honey. I cooked at 425 which was too hot. I burnt the outside on some and most were not cooked all the way through. They tasted pre...
